I feel like everything I've experienced here with CTI has been very intentional and focused. Everything during training and our time overseas was purposeful and meaningful. I want my life to be more like that: intentionally humble, servant-like, God-glorifying, loving.
Each summer we mobilize several "short-term" teams that train for two weeks and then spend four weeks abroad, working with established ministries such as YFCI (Youth For Christ International) and YWAM (Youth With A Mission). Our summer missions trips are divided into two rounds, usually consisting of two or three teams per round.
The dates for our Summer 2015 missions trips are:
Round 1 - June 2 - July 11
Round 2 - July 1 - August 12
The dates for our Summer 2016 missions trips are:
Round 1 - June 7 - July 16
Round 2 - July 6 - August 17
They give concerts in which they share the love of Christ with young people in the host culture and connect them with our ministry partners and the local church. The teams go at the invitation of our hosts. They support the efforts of our partner ministry through their focus on servanthood by modeling the example of Jesus, who did not come to be served, but to serve. Summer participants grow in Christian character and servant posture, deepen their understand of the Great Commission, and learn to actively share their faith.
CTI summer members commit to spending approximately six weeks with CTI. This time gets split into two weeks of training in Willmar, MN and four weeks of ministry in another country.
CTI summer members are required to raise $4,885 plus the cost of their travel to and from Willmar, MN. We'll use that money to pay for things like your international travel, housing, food, equipment, vehicles and fuel, visas, and the administrative costs involved in mobilizing a ministry team. We'll cover all your meals, housing and transportation in the US and overseas from the time you arrive for training until the time you depart for home. See our FAQ section for more information about where this money goes.
